NWTA Professional Development Grants
NWTA PD Grant Application Form (Click Here)
The purpose of this grant is to encourage and support teachers in their independent professional development goals. Teachers may apply for a grant of up to $100 towards professional growth in any area of instruction, assessment or curriculum.
Eligible Expenses:
Non-credit Online Courses/Webinars
Memberships to Professional Councils or Associations
Subscriptions to Journals, Websites, Books, or Materials with a PD Component
Ineligible Expenses:
Conference or Workshop Costs
Student Centered Materials
Indirect Educational Materials
Extra-curricular Initiatives and Activities
Application Criteria and Process:
Any teacher who is currently a member of the NWTA under contract may apply
An electronic application form will be available on the NWTA website
Teachers may submit one application per school year
Applications for the current school year open on September 1st
Applications will be considered chronologically until budgeted funds are depleted
Applications must be approved before the receipt can be submitted
Reimbursement is for the actual cost of the PD/resource to a maximum of $100
Successful applicants are responsible for the purchase of materials and submission of the receipt to the NWTA treasurer for reimbursement
The deadline for receipt submission is April 30th
